This Ontario Girl Sure Went Country

This Ontario Girl sure went country last year when I went to the Stampede for the first time. There I was in Red Cowboy Boots, Denim skirt and the traditional White Stetson drinking Beer! (I heard about that for days – I don’t drink beer). The excitement in the air was unbelievable. You have to see this show LIVE – TV doesn’t do it justice.

Calgary is a great city- easy to get around – we could walk from our hotel to the Stampede. The city is very clean, not crowded and GREAT WEATHER – such blue clear skies. Only one evening it rained and that was after the show – we actually had a great time running from one restaurant cover to another and met lots of people. The restaurants were great – food awesome. Lots’ of activities to see outside of the Stampede, like the First Nations show in the open theatre – we were so CLOSE. The FREE pancake breakfast – everyone was there. The friendly staff and residents of Calgary made you feel welcome. Okay, I guess you get the picture and we booked again this year and have added going to see Johnny Reid. CAN’T WAIT – YAHOO!!!!
